My research focuses on understanding cognitive and affective systems in the brain and body from a computational perspective. By integrating multidisciplinary approaches (e.g., neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and experimental psychology), I investigate how the brain and body interact to represent, process, and regulate cognitive and affective experiences in humans. I am interested in developing computational models of behavioral, physiological, and neural data through Bayesian inference and reinforcement learning to explain the underlying mechanisms of individual differences in mental processes. Before joining the Nagai lab, I developed a predictive model for pain using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and machine learning techniques.
