Call for Postdoctoral Fellows, Graduate Students, and Internship Students

Nagai Laboratory at the University of Tokyo is looking for highly motivated postdoctoral researchers, Ph.D. students, and interns who are interested in conducting research with our laboratory members. If you are interested in joining our lab, please read the information below and send the required application materials by email. We also welcome prospective applicants to visit our laboratory. Postdoctoral Fellows

We welcome applications from researchers interested in our ongoing projects. For currently available positions, please also refer to the official recruitment page of the International Research Center for Neurointelligence (IRCN):

Applicants are requested to send the following documents by email.

  5. Name, affiliation, and email address of two references, one of which should be a previous employer or supervisor

Graduate Students (Ph.D. Program Only)

Our lab accepts Ph.D. students only (no Master’s students) through the Department of Neuroscience at the Graduate School of Medicine. The admission information is provided in this page. Before submitting a formal application, prospective students are encouraged to submit the following documents by email to discuss their research interests and the suitability of the laboratory.

Internships

We welcome internship applications from undergraduate students, graduate students, and researchers from universities and research institutes worldwide whose research interests align with those of our laboratory. Applicants are requested to send the following documents by email.

  3. Research plan or past experiences related to research (English, 2-3 A4 pages)
  4. Certificate of scholarship (If no scholarship is available, financial plan for tuition, living expenses etc.)

Financial support

Please note that our laboratory does not provide financial support for internships. Applicants are expected to secure their own funding to cover travel, accommodation, living expenses, and other costs associated with their stay.

Visiting from other departments or universities

Students enrolled at other departments within the University of Tokyo or at other universities are also welcome to join our laboratory as interns, provided they obtain approval from their academic supervisor or home institution.
